Slow start- more rain!

I just wanted to keep mom in bed so I lay across her foot:

Then after I did get up, I was fine in my chair:

And then, mom coerced me into the car to get away from the constant rain on tarp sound. My two leggers apparently needed food, so off we went to the big city!
The concrete lot where we stopped had the weirdest noise- it sounded like birds for me to chase, but there were no birds.
I did not enjoy the wait in my jail, as I could hear it through the open window.
But we went home and out for another paddle ( see Dad ‘s shot here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/ )

Mom keeps taking other great pics with the wrong camera- so updates later!!
But here’s a toad they would not let me eat:

Calm day at camp

My two leggers are becoming decidedly slow to rise. Now I have to wait for them to get outta bed!

Today’s walk got Turtle vision and our canoe paddle we were charged by a duck- twice!
But those pics are on moms other camera- so later for those.

And mom wanted to show off her pan biscuits …

A beautiful day to walk and canoe!

Boring camping stuff:

Got up, had breakfast. Chased squirrels.
Sat on Mom.

Then went for a gravy walk, including my fave new water splashing spot that Dad referred to as a “poor tage”. Also saw a bear eating blueberries but too far away for photos, then snoozed.

Sat on Dad.

Then had supper, got my life jacket on and went for a paddle ( saw a beaver but the pics are pretty far away).

Sat on my chair in my blankie and snoozed while my two leggers played with those little pieces of cardboard.

A perfectly acceptable day in the woods.

My two leggers and their walks!

Ok, this cooler air is making me crazy. I had about 5 minutes of sunshine today, loving the heat, and then it went away.

We did go visit mom and dad’s first campsite today along with the awesome little lake there- I splashed around in the water!

Back at our site, I’m on guard duty almost all the time, that’s hard work as there are a lot of other four-leggers here!

But I got some jailtime today and it was peaceful.

I like my jail. And my comfy cloud…

Rain. So I slept in.

Til noon- whatever that means.
I was so irritated at the noise of rain, I snarled at Dad when he tried to get me to leave the comfy cloud. So he left me alone.
Blissful- til I really had to go do my business.
But then Mom came and took me to my jail in the silver beast and I was happy and warm for another lovely stretch of time.

I think they had lunch out or something. I know Mom was snarly too.
More little walks after we got back, but really, I’m just tired of this rain.

1 week, finally feeling the groove

Actually, the groove here involves walking, sleeping, squirrel and chipmunk chasing and eating.

But there’s some great other views than Squirrel TV- when my two leggers insist on the walks!

I tried to convince them that a drive would be just fine, but they made me get out of the car.

Squirrel TV- Live on the big screen!

What a day !
First, mom took me out of the cozy blankie cloud into the cold and wet! I had to pee, yes, but OMD I was chilled!
She brought me quickly back into the cozy blankie cloud, and even had the kindness to leave me alone to enjoy it.

I eventually did come out to join my two – leggers. Apparently it was “final bacon from Susi” Day. And it smelled great. I got a tiny bit….heaven…

After breakfast and a bit of a walkabout, mom set up my viewing station where I could sit in the mobile cozy cloud, and watch the blue screen wall. There were both chipmunks and squirrels in full 3D- sometimes they can right through the screen and I nearly could touch them!!!

Much of the day involved this fun. Then we went out into the world and I met….MEGA-Me!!

IMG_6018.JPG
Freaky! Huge! Speechless I was and totally in shock.
He was so big!

I was very grateful to return to the mobile cloud while my two leggers stayed up doing whatever.

Overnight- the Thunderhugs I got from mom helped me through the loud flashes and crazy loud booms. I think it helped her more than me.
